Legal Services - ImportaMi

The Michigan Immigrant Rights Center (MIRC) provides free legal services to unaccompanied children, including those released to sponsors. Services include:

<li>Removal defense and representation in immigration court</li>
<li>Help applying for asylum, SIJS, U visas, and other protections</li>
<li>Legal support in family courts for custody/guardianship</li>
<li>&ldquo;Know Your Rights&rdquo; education and legal screenings</li>
<li>Coordination with child advocates and social services</li>
</ul>
Locations: Detroit, Ypsilanti, Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Grand Rapids.
Additional services: Community education, pro bono training, and advocacy for immigrant rights.
