Human Rights Initiative (HRI) of North Texas provides free immigration legal services for people who have faced human rights abuses. For minors under 18 who arrived without a parent (and sponsors), HRI helps with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) (for those abused, neglected, or abandoned), U visas (for victims of serious crimes), VAWA relief (if abused by a U.S. citizen or green card spouse), and asylum (if fleeing persecution). They also represent clients in immigration proceedings. Services are limited to people living in the North Texas area.
Counties served: Dallas, Tarrant.
