Immigration Equality provides legal services to LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants in the U.S., including asylum representation, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), U Visa applications, DACA, family-based petitions, and adjustment of status for binational couples. They assist with detention advocacy, removal hearings, filings with USCIS, representation at asylum interviews (Credible Fear and Reasonable Fear), removal defense, representation before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and federal court appeals. Services are available nationwide. Eligibility is based on LGBTQ status, HIV status, or fear of persecution. Potential clients can contact the organization by phone or via the website; walk-ins are not accepted.
