HANAC&rsquo;s Legal Immigration Program provides free legal services for immigrants residing in New York City.
The program offers immigration consultations, application preparation, follow-up services, advocacy, and workshops to help immigrants understand their rights and responsibilities and avoid fraud.
Assistance covers family-based immigration, adjustment of status, permanent residency, citizenship, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewals, and work permit requests.
Services are available in English, Greek, and Spanish by appointment.
A related department, the Legal Victim Assistance Program, offers free legal aid for victims of crime, including support with compensation claims and advocacy.
This program does not provide removal or deportation defense.
Counties served: Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), NY (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island)
