The City Bar Justice Center’s Immigrant Justice Project (IJP) provides free immigration legal services to New Yorkers who cannot afford private counsel.

Attorneys and pro bono volunteers represent asylum seekers fleeing persecution, survivors of domestic violence, trafficking victims, and others seeking humanitarian relief.

Services include assistance with asylum, VAWA, U and T visas, DACA, TPS, and removal defense before USCIS, immigration courts, and federal courts.

The IJP also offers “Know Your Rights” presentations, community outreach, and advocacy updates with partner organizations.

Services are provided by appointment only at the City Bar Justice Center’s New York City office.

Counties served: Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), NY (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island)
