Make the Road New Jersey provides free English-as-a-second-language classes, legal services that support tenants and immigrants, and community organizing programs for youth and adults. The ESOL program offers Basic and Intermediate levels and focuses on everyday communication skills. The Housing Justice work includes tenant organizing, leadership development, and legal and support services to help tenants remain in their homes. Youth programs engage young people in advocacy on issues affecting undocumented students and DACA recipients. The organization also leads statewide immigrant-rights campaigns.
